Hideez, a developer of passwordless authentication solutions, has officially launched Hideez Authenticator. The solution was created as part of the Grant Program for the Development of Innovative Cybersecurity Solutions, which is implemented by the USAID Project “Cybersecurity of Ukraine’s Critical Infrastructure”. It aims to increase the cyber resilience of critically important enterprises, organizations, and companies.

Traditional authentication methods, such as passwords and one-time passwords (OTPs), leave critical infrastructure vulnerable to sophisticated cyber threats.

What is Hideez Authenticator?

Hideez Authenticator is a mobile app for passwordless multi-factor authentication. It allows you to log in to workstations, applications and web services by scanning QR codes from your smartphone instead of entering passwords. All keys are stored locally in secure storage on the user’s device. Thus, authentication is possible even without an Internet connection, which is a critical advantage in blackouts. In the case of a network failure, the user can also enter a one-time password (OTP) manually. With the app, you get protection against phishing without needing to remember or share your credentials.
